Mr. Trotter, utilizes his experience from being a District Attorney to analyze a case through the lens of a prosecutor and craft an impenetrable defense.
Mr. Trotter started his career as a prosecutor with the Tulare County District Attorney's office. Mr. Trotter's abilities in the courtroom quickly became apparent as he was selected to join the Major Crimes Division after six months of starting.
Mr. Trotter was on Gang Unit and prosecuted homicides, attempted homicides, carjackings, complicated drug sales cases, firearm and various weapon assault charges, and general felonies for all purposes.
Mr. Trotter was tasked to handle complicated wildfire and structure arson cases. In order to further his ability to understand these cases, CalFire sponsored Mr. Trotter to take the FI-210 Arson Investigator Certification Course.
Mr. Trotter was also tasked with mentoring and shadowing new prosecutors in the courtroom. He assisted prosecutors with their early preliminary hearings and trials in order to achieve success.
Late in his tenure, Mr. Trotter was selected to participate on the death penalty review panel for Tulare County.
Following the District Attorney's Office, Mr. Trotter worked for the prestigious Toschi, Doyle, Houvener, & Wellen. There, Mr. Trotter handled complex civil cases while focusing on defending personal injury claims. Mr. Trotter was able to utilize his knowledge of complex cases in order to find the holes in the Plaintiffs' cases and successfully advocate for his clients.
Mr. Trotter decided to open Trotter Law Group because he realized individuals were not receiving the representation they deserved. Far too often, clients would be just another number on an attorney's calendar.
